Community Guidelines

Introduction

Welcome to MiniJustice! A light-hearted parenting app designed to bring a little humour, creativity, and reflection to family life. Whether you’re using the Punishment Generator, adding your child’s profile, or submitting your own custom punishments, these guidelines exist to keep MiniJustice fun, safe, and respectful for everyone.

1. Be Kind and Respectful

Treat other users, and your kids, with respect in all content you create, name, or share. MiniJustice does not tolerate:

  • Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Sexually explicit, violent, or threatening content.
  • Content that promotes harm, abuse, or unsafe behaviour toward children or others.

2. Keep It Age-Appropriate

MiniJustice is built for families, not for grown-up shock humour. When creating verdicts, names, or any other content, please make sure it’s suitable for all ages.

  • Keep things funny, light, and imaginative (e.g. “Refused to share toys with siblings” or “Told a lie about doing their homework”).
  • Use language that children and parents can safely read together.
  • No content promoting harm or dangerous activities.
  • Remember that humour doesn’t have to be mean to be funny.

Do NOT:

  • Use racial, religious, or other discriminatory language.
  • Include sexual references, adult jokes, or suggestive language.
  • Use hate speech or promote violence against specific groups.
  • Include violence, fear-based scenarios, or humiliating consequences.

3. Protect Privacy

MiniJustice is a playful app, but privacy is serious business.

  • Never share personal information in any public-facing field (e.g. full names, school names, addresses, or contact details).
  • Use nicknames that are fun but not identifying (e.g. “Tiny Tornado”, not “Liam J from Oakfield Primary”).
  • Avoid uploading or sharing any content that includes another person’s information without their consent.
  • Do not attempt to collect, screenshot, or redistribute other users’ content outside the app.

All MiniJustice profiles, punishments, and submissions should remain anonymous and non-identifiable. Our moderation team removes data that could reveal someone’s real-world identity — and repeated privacy violations may result in account suspension or deletion.

Case History Safety

The Case History is your private space to log your child’s behaviour and view their progress, or automatically generated case notes. It’s designed to help parents stay organised, not to store sensitive or personal data.

To keep everyone safe and compliant with our Privacy Policy:

  • Entries are private to your account, they’re never visible to other users UNLESS you are a member of a household, in which all members of the household can view submitted verdicts.
  • Please avoid entering sensitive information, such as your child’s full name, address, school, or other personal details.
  • Keep entries focused on behaviour notes, goals, or reflections.
  • MiniJustice does not monitor or analyse your Case History content, but we reserve the right to remove data that appears unsafe or violates our policies.

If you delete your account, your Case History entries will also be permanently deleted UNLESS you are a member of a household, in which all members of the household can still view your submitted verdicts.

4. The Household

Households are designed to support fair, respectful, and family-friendly collaboration between parents and guardians.

Users should avoid sharing sensitive personal information and must not use Household features to humiliate, shame, harass, or target children or other members.

All content shared within a Household should remain respectful, appropriate, and focused on constructive parenting and positive behaviour guidance.

5. No Spam or Self-Promotion

Keep the community focused and authentic. Do not use MiniJustice for unsolicited advertising, spam, or excessive self-promotion. Share genuinely helpful resources, but avoid turning the platform into a self-promotion platform.

6. Use Common Sense

MiniJustice is meant to be fun and helpful:

  • Consequences should be creative, not punitive.
  • Focus on teaching moments, not punishment.
  • Consider your child's wellbeing first.
  • When in doubt, err on the side of kindness.

7. Report Violations

It's very unlikely, but should you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it to our team. We review all reports and take appropriate action to maintain a safe, positive community.

8. Consequences of Violations

MiniJustice is meant to be a place for laughter and creativity, but we take community safety seriously. When users ignore the rules, we step in to protect everyone’s experience. Users who repeatedly violate the guidelines may face consequences including:

  • Warning or content removal.
  • Temporary restriction of account features.
  • Permanent ban for serious or repeated violations.

In rare and serious cases (such as content suggesting real-world abuse or harm), MiniJustice may:

  • Escalate the issue to appropriate authorities.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.

9. Updates to Guidelines

We may update these guidelines as our community grows and evolves. Continued use of MiniJustice constitutes acceptance of the current guidelines.
